Come back and check out the featured project. From time to time I'll be featuring a project submitted by one of my customers.
I feel like I've know Beth all of my life but I only met her a few years ago. She has more than one featured project - but the majority of them use my zipper bags. I'll let her tell you about them ... you'll see why she is one of my favorite people.
My name is Beth Meyers and I am constantly nagging Peggy for MORE!!! I love the zipper bags, so easy, so fast and oh so cute!!! I try to think of zipper stitches constantly so that she has an ever changing line and also so they match up to what I want and my customers want. The gift card size is my favorite as everyone can use that for something :) I have made these with several school logos or personalize them so that they are extra special. The real eye catcher is using the blingy fabric. Everyone loves the sparkle and YES, you can embroider on this fabric. My second favorite is the shoulder Purse, these are just as fast to put together and are great for shopping excursions or I refer to them as Game Day Purses. Simple enough to wear to your childs sporting events with the school logo or sport icon on the outside, add the name of school, team or your player and then prance around and listen to everyone tell you how cute your purse is.
I met Peggy at the Indiana Embroidery Conference in 2004 and quickly made her my NBF(New Best Friend), even if she didn't want to be. That took off and now she is my ONBF(Old New Best Friend) Peggy sometimes makes me think she needs me to help her sell her designs, mostly zipper bags, so some of you have met me as I demo for her in her booth at various events in Indiana. Actually these bags and all of her designs sell themselves, especially if you see them in person and get to touchy feely them. You will see how simple they are and realize how many things you can use them for as you hold them. I have made pocket scarfs out of her applique sport ball shapes, again personalizing them with player names and or school/team logos. I have also used Peggy's designs to make quilts that were donated to Military families. The quilts were collected at the Indiana Embroidery Conference each year.
Peggy's designs are cute, fast and come with easy directions and if you need to contact her for more information she is always happy to help.
If you get a chance, ask her what she named her chicken!
Chicken? What Chicken??? VBG!!!
Can you tell Beth likes bling? I admit it. You can thank Beth for many of the stitch patterns on the zipper bags. If she didn't keep at me, they wouldn't get done.
Beth is also very generous. These 2 quilts found a home in my booth at IEC for a few days. Then they were given away to the military during the yearly quilt parade. See how she fussy cut some cute little characters to go in the truck windows?
