READ the PDF instruction sheet that comes with each design. My appliqué designs have an extra step - an optional crosshatch underlay usually in Color #2. This underlay should be stitched on terry towels or heavy fleece. Skip it on regular fabrics. If you start stitching and your first layer of fabric is covered with a crazy layer of stitching, you were warned!

My designs are created in DST format. All other formats are converted directly from DST. DST files do not save color information making the stitch file colors look "crazy".  I am working on recoloring my designs but if you get a "crazy" one, refer to the color/instruction sheet included with each design for suggested thread colors. Each appliqué design includes a text file with tips for a successful embroidery.

It is impossible to create a design that will sew perfectly on all fabrics. Best results will be achieved using mid-weight cottons and a 2 oz. cutaway stabilizer. Most of the appliqués include an optional underlay for use on terry or fleece. I have had good results stitching them on sweatshirts and mid-weight towels. Use of heavier weight fabrics may require some editing of the design file by the customer.  Resizing an appliqué design is not recommended.
